The house · a walk-through
Bed & make-your-own breakfast
“Not quite a hotel, not quite a hostel either,” says Amy, the owner, who bought the house in 2018 and lives in a separate house on the property. It’s a shared, open-air, hand-painted Caribbean house — and a well-loved one.
tap the story to walk through

01
The big kitchen
A large, well-equipped guest kitchen under pink beams and a sun-yellow ceiling: a long blue bar, two refrigerators, plenty of space and appliances, and coffee and tea available at all times. It’s always open for guests.

02
Painted lounges
Turquoise walls, futons, bookshelves and murals of a Caribbean beach and a jungle river with toucans. Even when the house is full there’s room for a quiet corner.

03
Balcony & terrace
Take in the jungle from the second-floor balcony with a cup of coffee in the morning. Pink railings, cushions, and the trees right there.

04
Hammocks & patios
An afternoon of peace in the hammock, long tables on the stone patio, and plenty of outdoor seating to admire the birds and butterflies passing through.

05
Painted bathrooms (shared)
No room has its own bathroom: every guest shares the house’s bathrooms, which the owners keep sparkling clean. The whole-house listing counts a bathroom on each floor, with hot water in two of the three showers. They may be the most painted rooms in the house — showers under the sea, fish and sun rays on the corrugated walls, and an octopus keeping watch over the toilet.
What to expect (lovingly, honestly)
Open to the jungle
A breezy Caribbean house: expect the same contact with nature as a cabin in the woods. Every room has a fan, a mosquito net and screens.
Shared bathrooms
Sparkling clean with hot showers — and shared. No room has its own bathroom.
Animals at home
Dogs, a cat and chickens live here; sloths, monkeys and birds live next door.
Fiber Wi-Fi
Reaches the whole property, balconies included, with lots of corners to work from.
