What it’s like
This double room is a favourite with returning guests. It sits on the left side of the house, away from the other rooms, so there’s more privacy and less foot traffic outside your door.
The walls are painted floor to ceiling with a blue jungle — look for the heron — and lots of windows let the green in. Your private balcony overlooks the trees where sloths, monkeys and toucans live, and at night you can hear the ocean in the background.
Remote workers love it: there’s a work desk with an electrical outlet right beside it, and the fiber-optic Wi-Fi has a strong signal in the room and even out on the balcony.

Good to know
About the “ocean view”
The house’s main website calls this the “Ocean View Balcony Room”, but the balcony photos show palms, garden and jungle rather than open sea. Expect a jungle view with the sound of the waves at night — and ask the hosts if a glimpse of the ocean matters to you.

Balcony Room 1 on the booking siteQuestions about this room
Is it good for working remotely?
Yes — there’s a desk with an outlet next to it, and the house describes a strong fiber-optic signal in the room and on the balcony.
Why is it quieter than other rooms?
It’s on the left side of the house, away from the other bedrooms, so fewer people walk past your door.
Is the bathroom private?
No — like every room in the house, this room shares the house’s bathrooms (with hot showers). There are no en-suite rooms.
What time are check-in and check-out?
The house’s booking site lists check-in from 3:00 PM and check-out until 11:00 AM. Arriving late? Message the hosts so they can plan for you.
Is there air-conditioning?
Not listed. The room has a fan, a mosquito net and screened windows — it’s an open-air jungle house built for the breeze.
