What it’s like
Small, cosy and the most economical of the five rooms — made for independent travellers who want a simple, private place to lay their head after a long day exploring Puerto Viejo.
A window looks over the garden, and one wall is an eye-catching mural of jungle trees, macaws and a toucan. Go to sleep with the sound of the ocean and wake up to the howler monkeys.
The fiber-optic Wi-Fi has a strong signal here, and the house publishes length-of-stay discounts of up to 20% — which is why this room is popular with remote workers and long-term visitors.

Good to know

A note for tall travellers
The twin bed is built into the wall, so there’s a wall at both the head and the foot of the bed. Taller guests may find it hard to stretch out. If that’s you, Sunshine Room 3 is also single-occupancy and has a full-size bed — or ask the hosts for the bed’s length before you book.
